CENICOM ^®System Commissioning Ceremony Held on May 8th in Tianjin

On May the 8th 2009, Solar and Environmental Technologies Corp. (Solar ETC) announced the completion of the prototype demo CENICOM^® solar thermal power generation system in Tianjin, China.  A ceremony and luncheon was held to celebrate this milestone event.  Senior officials from the US and Chinese governments, principal representatives of global funds and institutional investors, strategic business partners of Solar ETC and mainstream media attended the event.

The ceremony symbolized the completion of the development phase and beginning of the commercialization stage of the CENICOM^® system.  Mr. Robert Speiser, Chairman and CEO of Solar ETC, gave a speech to greet guests, to review the development of the company and CENICOM^® system and to address the future growth potential and impact CENICOM^® could have on the solar thermal power industry.  Mr. David Gossack, Principal Commercial Officer from American Consulate General in Shanghai, and Mr. Shi Dinghuan, Counsellor to China State Council delivered brief addresses congratulating Solar ETC for its achievement, both declaring Solar ETC and its CENICOM^® system a model for Sino-US green energy cooperation that would benefit the global environment and human life.

During the ceremony a video presentation was shown describing the operating characteristics and novel features of the CENICOM^® System.  Afterwards, the guests were taken to the Solar ETC Tianjin facility for an on-site visit to the prototype demo unit of the CENICOM^® System.  During the tour, guests observed the energy collection/generation process.  Solar ETC technicians described the technical parameters and operations of the CENICOM^® system and answered questions from the guests.
