CENICOM^® technology originated in 1970’s, when a group of American scientists embarked to research for high-efficiency solar thermal power generation technology with true storage capacity. All technical parameters of the system were tested and verified by US National Renewable Energy laboratory (NREL).
At the beginning of this century, SETC acquired the intellectual property and commercial rights of the technology, and derived it into an integrated industrial modular system. Under the leadership of the original inventors, our R&D team exerted tremendous efforts to improve and optimize the technology, and eventually makes it a world-class technology ready for commercialization
The first prototype project (146kw) using CENICOM^® technology was completed and put into operation in May 2009 in Tianjin, China, benchmarking the beginning of utility scale commercial applications of the technology in global market.
